Utah is home to a lot of concert venues and through them comes quite a variety of performers.

One of the most popular venues is USANA Amphitheatre. This time of year it has brought quite a few big names to Utah. On September 11th, heavy metal icon Black Sabbath performed, the 16th featured rock n’ roll legends Def Leppard, REO Speedwagon, and Tesla, and on the 17th country star Dierks Bentley came. Following Dierks there was Blink 182, A Day To Remember, and All Time Low. Then, on the 26th Mumford and Sons came, on the 30th and the 1st of October country poster boy Luke Bryan will be there. October 4th will be showing Neil Young, a legend in the rock n’ roll world as well, and on October 13th rising country star Brantley Gilbert will put on a show.

Another rather popular venue in Utah is The Great Saltair. The heavy metal band known as Megadeth was scheduled to perform on September 21st. However, there show was cancelled due to production issues according to The Great Saltair. However, Tech N9ne will still be performing on October 5th for his The Calm Before The Storm tour. Also, later in the month, Get Freaky will perform on October 28th and 29th, which there is an 18 and up age limit for their concert. Following Get Freaky, on November 1st Mac Miller will be making a stop from The Divine Feminine Tour.

The Vivint Smart Home Arena, previously known as Energy Solutions Arena, will be hosting pop sensations Maroon 5 on October 8th. Then on November 22nd, Trans Siberian Orchestra will be making their 7th stop on their Ghost of Christmas Eve tour.

Along with these popular spots, Utah also is the home to many underground concert venues that see a lot of activity. One of these venues is known as The Depot, located just across the street from Vivint Arena. Cyndi Lauper performed there on September 20th, Echo and the Bunnymen on the 21st, Oh Wonder on the 23rd, and St Paul and the Broken Bones on the 27th. For October, they will have Lany on the first. Then, making a st op on their Redemption and Ruin tour, The Devil Makes Three will perform on the 3rd of the month. On the 4th, Pennywise will perform their About Time tour. On the 5th, The Cult will make an appearance, and on the 6th, Dweezil Zappa.

In the heart of downtown there also lies a venue popular to almost every underground band in Utah. Kilby Court has been the sight of many great concerts. In the past, many bands started by Bingham students have performed there. Perhaps the most popular one is Spirit Tribe. All former bingham students, they have made quite the name for themselves performing at Kilby Court. On the 23rd of October, Kilby Court will be showing Gnash. On November 12th, July Talk will perform. On December 2nd, Wild Child will make a performance to end the year. Also, Kilby Court hosts concerts almost every night of the week with bands who still have yet to make a name for themselves.
