Seventeen-year-old Garrett Nielson passed away last week on April 2, 2013 to the sadness of his loving family and many friends.
A junior here at Bingham High School, Garrett challenged himself with classes like Math 1060, History 1700, Chemistry, and U.S. Government. He involved himself with track as well.
“Garrett was one of the happiest kids I know,” said senior Wyatt Williams. “He was never in a bad mood and always brought everyone else up around him…He was a good sprinter too.”
Garrett was an Eagle Scout who loved music and had plans to attend medical school in the future. He was a great friend and could always make you laugh.
“Life can be very fragile,” said Mr. Hicks, “but I think that everyone has a connection and a contribution to make.” Garrett made his contribution here at Bingham and will be sorely missed by the entire student body.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 9 from 9-10:30 a.m. at the West Jordan Westbrook LDS Stake Center 4113 W. 6200 S.
