Senior basketball player Leya Harvey has dedicated her high school experience to the girls’ basketball team here at Bingham. Leya has played ball as long as she can remember and she is planning on continuing after high school for Utah Valley University next year on a full ride basketball scholarship. Her ability to play post gives her an advantage against other teams. Leya said, “rebounding and finishing around the hoop is definitely my biggest strengths.” She motivates herself and her teammates to do their best just because she loves the game and wants to be a better team. Although, she has been playing for Bingham since she was a freshman she still considers early morning practices a challenge.
