Sundance 2015

The Sundance Film Festival is one of the biggest   independent film festivals in the United States. The goal is for new and up and coming film makers to be able to showcase their work. The film festival was organized in 1978, and since then the film has shown more than 200 films. The festival is known for attracting many popular actors. Many great film makers made their start at this festival.

This year some of the biggest shows were X-man: The Apocalypse and Me and the Dying Girl. Films range from documentary’s to short stories. Actors such as Brad Pitt, Chris Pine, James Franco, and Ryan Reynolds, made appearances this year, and it’s not uncommon to spot one walking the streets with you. The festival went on from January 22 to February 2. It’s always an enjoyable experience for those who make the trek up to Park City. People love to go and see new cutting edge films compete for prizes, and then there’s always the perk of a celebrity sighting. The festival attracts people from all over the world. Recently the festival has started featuring foreign and international films that contribute to the new crop of foreign film junkies that travel out here to experience the festival of a lifetime.
