ISIS isn’t Muslims

The Paris attacks and the 9/11 attacks have given Muslims a bad name. When most people think of Muslims they automatically associate them with ISIS, but that is not the case.  When you think of the KKK do you instantly think of Christians?  Just like how all Christians are not part of the KKK, not all Muslims are part of ISIS. Susan Kent, a comedian, said that all Muslims are not terrorists in the same way that all Canadians are not Justin Bieber.  “Attacking a whole group because someone in that group did something bad is always a dumb idea, whether it’s attacking Muslims for Isis, […] or the entire Star Wars franchise for Jar Jar Binks.” said Kent. People need to understand that ISIS has no ties with the Muslim religion. Muslims have their own beliefs and in no way encourage these acts of violence and terrorism. Roy Abbas of the Huffington Post said that the majority of Muslim people are peaceful and strongly oppose ISIS. “No religion condones the killing of innocents, and the vast majority of ISIS’s victims have been Muslim,” said President Barrack Obama. ISIS is a terrorist organization, and its goal is to kill anyone and anything that stands in its way. According to ABP News, “They are not Muslims and are from some other religion and wearing Muslim masks and doing all their activities.” If we want to put an end to terrorism, maybe the first thing we need to do is stop terrorizing innocent people.
