Although we’re not green, we can all relate to the Grinch in one way or another. The older we get, the less we appreciate socializing.

We all relate to the Grinch in one way or another, from hating people to hating Christmas and so much more. In “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” There are so many things we can relate to and that’s what makes it so funny.

The movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas said: “If I can’t find something nice to wear I’m not going.” This quote from the movie can relate to all of us. We don’t want to get out of bed and go to school or even socialize if we can’t wear something presentable, plus, if it’s something you don’t want to go to you’re looking for any excuse to stay home just like the Grinch.

“I guess I could use a little social interaction” (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) even if we can’t find anything to wear, socializing can be nice, and it can be good for us to get to know people better and get some fresh air.

“Am I just eating because I’m bored?”(How the Grinch Stole Christmas) Okay, everyone has eaten due to boredom before, some of us worse than others but this Grinch quote gives us all that nervous laughter of not wanting to admit to yourself that you too, just like the Grinch, eat when you’re bored.

Much like the Grinch, some of us really don’t like extra festive happy people around the Christmas season, they make us not so festive people look lazy and not full of the Christmas spirit a lot of times it can be hard not to hate them, and sometimes we do hate them and say this in our head; “Hate, hate, hate… double hate!… Loathe eternally!” (How the Grinch Stole Christmas)

I’m… Feeling!” (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) Catching feelings for people can be hard, and sometimes we don’t know what to do because it feels so weird, and maybe we don’t want to catch feelings and be nice to someone, it may feel like your heart has grown 3 sizes and for a while we may not know how or what to do with these feelings.

There are so many things we have in common with the Grinch, in one way or another we are all like him and can relate to him, the Grinch is so relatable.
