
All over the world, there have been stories to emerge about ghosts and the afterlife. The United States has some of the most famous haunted locations in the world, and paranormal investigators come from all over the world to investigate some of our paranormal locations.
Paranormal locations come in all shapes and sizes, from a regular looking house, to a large abandoned hospital. Each paranormal location is special in its own way, from different ghosts and activities to the types of feelings you will feel.
One of the most haunted places in America is the Eastern State Penitentiary in Pennsylvania. At one point in time, it held the famous gangster, Al Capone, and the cell where he was held is said to be haunted by him today. People have reported being grabbed, and overwhelming sensations such as chest pressure, anxiety or even sharp pain.
Another famous haunted location – which has inspired movies – is the Conjuring House in Rhode Island. It inspired the Conjuring movies. The people who actually witnessed the events depicted in the movies describe the actual events as much worse than the movies depict. Famous paranormal investigators, the Warrens, even investigated the house, and held seances where according to eye witnesses, Carolyn Perron was thrown across the room.
Perhaps one of the most well renowned paranormal locations is the Waverly Hills in Kentucky. The large building was used as a sanatorium for Tuberculosis patients. So many people died in the building that a “body chute” that they would use to transport people who had died. One of the most famous spirits in the building is the Creeper, a shadow figure that is seen crawling on the walls and ceilings.
In Utah, the Old Mill in Cottonwood Heights is considered one of the most haunted places in Utah. It has a history of tragic events including a fire in 1893 which consumed much of the building. There are no reported deaths in the building, which is what makes this haunting interesting. Some of the paranormal activities reported include shadow figures and whispering.
By far the most famous haunted location in Utah is Skinwalker Ranch which reports UFO sightings, cattle mutilation, and shapeshifting creatures. People say that the ranch is cursed which is why it is so haunted and experiences so much activity.
