Varsity Girl’s Volleyball has just finished their season by playing in their last game of the season against Pleasant Grove High School on Saturday, November 4. They finished with a league record of 3-4-0 and an overall record of 17-9-0. The roster for this season includes seniors Talia Myers, Annissa Kehl, Gabriela Langi, Seleisa Elisaia, Olivia Boudreaux, and Kendzee Cloward. Playing as juniors are Montana Willden, Ava Rasmussen, Hannah Thompson, Brynlie Huntsman, Journey Tupea, and Silia Kaili. Sophomores include Jada Suguturaga, Naomi Glasker, and Susana Foliaki.

The Lady Miners kicked off the season with their first game against North Summit High School on August 17. It was Bingham’s first victory with a score of 3-0. Leading up to the end of the season were games against Pleasant Grove High School and American Fork High School. Both games were a loss with scores of 3-0 and 3-2. According to MaxPreps, “Bingham’s national rank has moved -98 and their state rank has moved -2.”

The Lady Miners’ Varsity Captain, Seleisa Elisaia, was featured in an article by The Salt Lake Tribune. The article featured information about some of the training Elisaia goes through, along with the rest of the team. “We preach a lot on our team that there are four different roles: You’ve got to have a stud, you have to have a stabilizer, you have to have someone who’s the leader,” Melissa Glasker, head coach for the Lady Miners, said in an interview for the article.

The Lady Miners are very close as a team and are committed to victory through hard workouts and training. While some of the players will be leaving this year due to graduation, Bingham High wishes the remaining players a great next season.
